Home visit requests – 9am – 10am
If you require a home visit, please telephone the surgery before 10am. Home visit requests after 10am will be for medical emergencies only.
The Doctor or ANP will only visit you at home if they have discussed the request with you (or your representative) and there is a clinical need for them to do so. The Clinician can see 4 appointments in the Practice in the time it takes for one home visit. Please make every effort to attend the Practice where possible.
If you require emergency medical treatment out with normal surgery hours, you should telephone NHS 24 on 111.
All telephone calls to and from NHS 24 are recorded for future reference, should this be necessary.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a Doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a medical emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
